We see the netball court as a microcosm of life. For our youngest players just learning the game, itis a safe place to learn about navigating the world with others.

Players learn to communicate (who remembers ‘if you need’?), place trust in their teammates, and respect that everyone has a vital role to play. These are forever skills they can use at school, at home, and in the workplace.

Watching our young players flourish in skills and confidence as they move through the age groups is both a pleasure and a privilege.

Registering your child

All player registrations, payments and uniform sales are made through PlayHQ, an independent sport team registration and management platform. PlayHQ gathers information such as player and parent names, contact details, email addresses, medical information and position preferences (if known).

Full fees must be paid during the registration process. The button below will take you through to the PlayHQ registration portal.

Please note: Players who register then have a change of mind are subject to a $50 administrative fee.

Age groupings

Burnside City United fields teams in the South Australian Uniting Church Netball Association (SAUCNA) competition. Age groups are based on a player’s year of birth as at 31 December 2025:

U11: 01 Jan 2014– 31 Dec 2015
U13: 01 Jan 2012– 31 Dec 2013
U15: 01 Jan 2010– 31Dec 2011
U17: 01 Jan 2008– 31 Dec 2009
Opens: born 2007 or earlier

Under 8 and 9

U8: 01 Jan 2017 – 31 Dec 2020
U9: 01 Jan 2016 – 31 Dec 2016/li>
